St. Andrews by-the-Sea is a National Historic District with many very old homes in fine condition. The historic architectural legacy is highly valued by  residents and visitors alike. We are just two blocks from the water's edge, but far enough from the core that peacefulness is often considered an asset by our guests.

The Garden Gate is nicely located in town, about 5-10 minutes walk to most amenities. Most restaurants and shops are a short stroll away.

Ours is a three story historic house. Guest rooms are located on the second and third floors, and guest common areas and the dining room are on the main level.

You can picnic on our grounds if you wish and enjoy the gardens and birds.

We have adequate off-street parking for all guests. Please enter the driveway from Augustus Street.

Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets. We do have a family cat in residence.

Children over 12 are very welcome. Our rooms accommodate two persons only.

The Garden Gate is rainbow friendly!
